On Monday, April 20, 2026, members of the KHS American Sign Language (ASL) class, along with their teacher, Mrs. Danielle Shirey, stood at the front of the room, not to speak, but to lead. While leading the Superintendent, Treasuer, and Board of Education, the students’ hands moved in perfect sync, showing pride and skill of the new language they learned this year.
The ASL class was added to the KHS course of studies for the 2025/26 school year and has been a widely popular class amongst students. The high school looks forward to offering more classes next year.
