The Kenston Rotary Senior for April is Cullen Fehring, a student whose high school career has included an intense course load, athletic involvement, and a dedication to community leadership. Throughout his school career, while taking 12 AP classes, Cullen has maintained a 4.45 GPA. He is a member of the Mu Alpha Theta - Mathematics Honor Society, an AP Scholar and Scholar-Athlete, and he is set to receive the AP Capstone Seminar and Research certificate of achievement.
Cullen's leadership extends across many school organizations. He has served as the 2026 Class president from grades 9 to 12. He was a founder and student mentor at Kenston Connect, a program pairing senior leaders with 8th-grade students. Additionally, he served as the National Honor Society secretary and was an active member of the Blood Drive Committee. Cullen also participated in the INCubator pitch presentations with the student startup group Elemental Insoles. He has also participated in the Student Voices for Positive Change Group, the Interact Club, and the Youth Advisory Council.
His commitment to service and the community is demonstrated in his rank of Eagle Scout. For his Eagle Scout project, he planned and led a construction project of 40-plus birdhouses along the Kenston High School Trails. In scouting, Cullen also served as Senior Patrol Leader, ASPL, and Patrol Leader (4 years), and as an Order of the Arrow member. He has logged 160+ hours of community service by hosting a senior citizen game night and serving as a youth ministry retreat counselor.
In athletics, Cullen demonstrated versatility, serving on many different teams. He is a four-year member of the Varsity Track & Field team (sprints, hurdles, long jump, and pole vault), a three-year and founding member of the Varsity Men's Volleyball team, a three-year member of the Varsity Trap Shooting Club, and a two-year member of the Football team.
Following graduation, Cullen plans to attend a four-year college to study Business Economics. His long-term goal is to continue on to graduate school to earn either a Master of Science in Business Analytics or a Master of Arts in Economics.
