Kenston Schools proudly recognizes the dedication, bravery, and selfless service of our local first responders, whose vital efforts keep our students, staff, and community safe every day.
Our Kenston School Resource Officers provide invaluable daily support across campus, from leading emergency preparedness training to offering a welcoming, reassuring presence for students throughout the school day.
To express district-wide appreciation, Kenston Schools recently honored the Auburn Fire Department, the Bainbridge Fire Department, the Bainbridge Police Department, and the Geauga County Sheriff's Office during the August 28, 2026, Kenston home opener football game.
District and township leaders gathered on the field during the pregame presentation to recognize these public servants. Representing Kenston Schools were Superintendent Dr. Bruce Willingham Jr., Treasurer Seth Cales, Board of Education Vice President Dr. Beth Krause, Board Members Jim Henry, Girtha Smith, and Benjamin Timmons, along with district administrators and directors. Local community officials also joined the tribute, including Auburn Township Trustee Riley Davis, Auburn Township Fiscal Officer Daniel Matsko, and Bainbridge Township Trustee Dr. Michael Bates.
We extend our heartfelt thanks to all first responders for their unwavering commitment to our schools and community. Your service does not go unnoticed, and we are proud to honor and support you.
