Earlier in October, a celebration of creativity, confidence, and the alphabet took center stage at the first annual “ABC Fashion Show” at Timmons Elementary School. Each kindergarten class participated in this fun and educational event, as students confidently walked the “red carpet” and proudly showcased their unique letter-vest creations.
Kindergarten students received a specific letter of the alphabet and had the opportunity to decorate their vest with at least four items or pictures that start with that letter. This engaging, hands-on activity helped reinforce letter-sound correspondence, an essential early literacy skill in Kindergarten.
