The Kenston Rotary Senior for January is Grady Kucharson, a strong student leader in the classroom and in athletics.
Grady maintains an impressive 4.52 GPA, is an AP Scholar with Honors and Distinction, and will graduate with the AP Capstone Diploma. His academic achievements include the Biology Departmental Award, the Spanish Seal of Biliteracy, and the President’s Award for Educational Excellence.
Grady’s leadership extends across academics and athletics. He serves as President of the Business and Investments Club, is a member of the National Honor Society, participates on the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's Visionary Team, and is a member of the Varsity Football and Baseball teams. As a member of the Football team, Grady has earned numerous accolades, including All-Ohio Honorable Mention (2023), Second Team All-Ohio (2025), First Team All-District Kicker, and First Team All-WRC Kicker. He holds school records for most points scored as a kicker and most field goals scored, and he tied the record for career field goals scored in a single season.
Beyond the school day, Grady is committed to service and leadership. He has coached Kenston Community Education Recreational 8th and High School Basketball teams, coached KBA 10U baseball teams, served as a camp counselor for youth Football and youth Baseball, and works as a counselor for Empower Sports.
Looking ahead, Grady plans to attend a four-year university, major in finance, and pursue a law degree in graduate school.
