The Kenston High School Speech and Debate team secured its best finish ever at the NSDA High School National Tournament in Virginia, competing against a massive field of nearly 5,700 students from more than 1,200 schools nationwide.

Leading the historic run, Grace Voudris captured third place in Big Questions Debate, enduring 11 intense rounds over four days to finish with an exceptional 9-2 record. Voudris successfully debated both sides of the challenging topic, "Moral systems rooted in theism are preferable to non-theistic moral systems.”

Kenston’s success continued on the national stage with Reagan Carnes, whose World Schools Debate team advanced to the top 16, and Brooke Carlson, who placed in the top 72 in Congressional Debate (Senate). All three students earned their spots at the prestigious national event after successfully qualifying through rigorous local district tournaments.

Congratulations to the entire speech and debate team on an incredibly impressive season.Speech & Debate Nationals Speech & Debate Nationals Speech & Debate Nationals
