Greetings Kenston Community,
The March 13, 2026, editions of the TES, KMS, and KHS newsletters have been posted on each building’s webpage. There is a lot of exciting news and information about upcoming events that you won’t want to miss.
We hope you take a moment to read through them and see all the great things happening across our schools.
Have a wonderful weekend!
Our guest is a former Kenston substitute teacher who has been sharing her passion for history with our students for the past 15 years. Many of our students also recognize her from 7th Grade Camp, where she helps lead the always-popular Medieval Night activities.
During her visit, Linda spoke with students while dressed in 9th-century Anglo-Saxon attire, giving them a unique opportunity to see and learn about historical clothing, culture, and daily life from the medieval period.
Experiences like this help bring classroom lessons to life and make history both engaging and memorable for our students. We are grateful for Linda’s continued dedication to Kenston and for sharing her knowledge and enthusiasm with our middle school learners!

Dear Kenston Families and Staff,
As we continue to monitor the weather forecast and transition from a Cold Weather Warning to a Cold Weather Advisory issued by the National Weather Service, Kenston Schools will be in session tomorrow, Wednesday, January 28.
While the low temperature may appear colder than today, the “feels like” temperature is expected to improve tomorrow as winds subside.
As tomorrow will still be cold, I ask for your help in ensuring students arrive at school prepared for the elements. This includes:
- Wearing warm coats, hats, gloves, and scarves
- Dressing in layers when possible
- Wearing appropriate footwear for cold conditions
- Speaking with student drivers about safe winter driving
Additionally, I have spoken with our Principals, the Transportation and Grounds/Maintenance departments, and they have assured me that our buses and buildings will be ready for our students.
I appreciate your patience and understanding as we navigate this Ohio winter together. I look forward to seeing our students at school tomorrow.
Take care,
Dr. Willingham

I will continue to monitor the expected frigid temperatures and potential windchill issues for Tuesday and will communicate more throughout the day on Monday.
Stay safe and warm,
Dr. Willingham

Dear KMS and KHS families,
With school closing for tomorrow, please be advised that after-school practices/games for KMS and KHS students will continue as scheduled tomorrow, January 20, unless otherwise communicated by a coach.
Thank you,

Due to extremely cold temperatures predicted for the arrival time tomorrow, and to be cautious for our students waiting for buses, I will be cancelling school for tomorrow, Tuesday, January 20.
Stay warm Bombers!
