Greetings Kenston Community,
The March 13, 2026, editions of the TES, KMS, and KHS newsletters have been posted on each building’s webpage. There is a lot of exciting news and information about upcoming events that you won’t want to miss.
We hope you take a moment to read through them and see all the great things happening across our schools.
Have a wonderful weekend!

Did you know that Timmons Elementary School was fortunate to welcome Katie Nainiger from the Geauga Soil & Water Conservation District, who visited Kindergarten classes to help students discover the importance of planting and farming, as well as the many foods and products we get from plants and farm animals? 🐄🌽🐖
Mrs. Nainiger read “Planting a Seed” 🌱 and guided students through activities that reinforced their learning as a part of their Plant Unit. The extensions to the learning are a valuable part of the student experience. The partnerships with our local resources have been very meaningful, as they provide real-world connections to the topics our students listen to and read about.
We are grateful to the Geauga Soil & Water Conservation District for sharing their time and resources with our school! 🍎

January 27, 2026
Dear Kenston Families and Staff,
As we continue to monitor the weather forecast and transition from a Cold Weather Warning to a Cold Weather Advisory issued by the National Weather Service, Kenston Schools will be in session tomorrow, Wednesday, January 28.
While the low temperature may appear colder than today, the “feels like” temperature is expected to improve tomorrow as winds subside.
As tomorrow will still be cold, I ask for your help in ensuring students arrive at school prepared for the elements. This includes:
- Wearing warm coats, hats, gloves, and scarves
- Dressing in layers when possible
- Wearing appropriate footwear for cold conditions
- Speaking with student drivers about safe winter driving
Additionally, I have spoken with our Principals, the Transportation and Grounds/Maintenance departments, and they have assured me that our buses and buildings will be ready for our students.
I appreciate your patience and understanding as we navigate this Ohio winter together. I look forward to seeing our students at school tomorrow.
Take care,
Dr. Willingham
