Stage lights are notoriously temperamental creatures, requiring some delicate handling, and the occasional swift smack. Hunter has worked tirelessly to make sure that we always have the light we need. He has taken lamps apart and put them back together, changed bulbs and cords, and overall been a person we could always depend on. Congratulations to Susan Swift, the 💙 2026 Rise Up Award Winner. As an Administrative Assistant at Kenston Middle School, Susan exemplifies dedication and humility—two qualities this award honors. Well deserved, Susan!

The Rise Up Award was designed in 2025 by a Kenston Graduate to recognize outstanding service to the district by staff members in non-instructional departments. This is the second year the District has awarded the Rise Up award.

Congratulations to Zoe LeFeber, Marin Carlson, Grace Voudris, and Will Turner for receiving the National Speech and Debate Association Academic All-American Award, which is only earned by 2% of Speech and Debate competitors.

We are so proud of their hard work and success, both academically and competitively, throughout their long careers at Kenston! ✈️💙

Congratulations to the ✈️ 7th and 8th-grade Boys and Girls Track Teams on an outstanding performance at the WRC Invitational Track Meet.
🏆 The 7th- and 8th-grade Girls Team took home the 1st-place trophy.
⭐Reily Booher set a conference meet/new school record in the 100 Hurdles with a time of 15.38 seconds.
⭐First Place finishes included: 4x8, 4x2, 4x4, 100 hurdles, 200 hurdles, 400, 800, and 1600.

✈️ The 7th and 8th Grade Boys Team placed second at the meet.
